- Le Brocq: The family was farming here from the 1830s. The farm was run in the second half of the 19th century by Francois Le Brocq He was a Constable`s Officer, Vingtenier, Centenier and then Deputy for St Peter, 1885-1888. He became Constable of St Peter, 1888-1907. A successful cattle breeder and agent, he was forced to sell the farm to settle family debts and it was bought by his son-in-law Henry Prouings Le Ruez
- Le Ruez: Home to Occupation diarist Nan Le Ruez. Her father, Henry Prouings Le Ruez, made two Agricultural War Claims relating to his farm in 1942 and 1945. In 1940 a successful application was made by him to defer his son Laurence Henry's (1918- ) call-up. In 1941 Henry Prouings Le Ruez (1884- ) was living at Homestead with his wife Adele Marie, nee Le Brocq (1884- ), his mother Annie, nee Le Brocq (1857- ) Laurence Henry, and his other children Thomas Francis (1914- ), Annie Margaret 'Nan' (1915- ) , Kathleen Esther (1916- ), Christina Mary (1919- ), John Prouings (1920- ) and Joyce Marie (1921- )

Mid-19th century farm group. The house retains its historic proportions, character and features externally. With its associated outbuildings and boundary it contributes to the rural roadside, junction setting. The outbuildings are significant for their group value in association with the farm house.
