Politicians

As might be expected of a largely self-governing island, Jersey has had many prominent politicians over the years. In the early days the Jurats and parish Rectors were often highly political and powerful individuals, and gradually power transferred to parish Constables, Deputies and ultimately Senators. These are some of the most important of these men and women over the centuries
