This is an index to articles in Jerripedia to provide an additional means of finding content you are looking for. [1]. We want to keep the index as compact and easy to use as possible, so we try to point you to places where you will find either exactly what you are searching for, or a page with links to associated articles.

For example, the index does not contain links to separate family trees, baptism listings and other information about families, but it will guide you to most of the 1,239 family pages, where you will find links to all the content throughout the site related to that family. To help you further, all index links to family pages are shown in italic.

Biographies of some individuals are indexed here, but many others should be accessed through the family page.

You will find one index entry for subjects such as Mont Orgueil castle, which will take you to the main article, where you will also find links to other articles about its history. If you search for Gorey Castle instead, you will be directed to the Mont Orgueil page.

This index is not the only way of finding content you are looking for. You can use the main high-level menu pages, such as Family research - Jersey Culture - History of Jersey - German Occupation - Famous islanders, to help you navigate through the site, or you can also use either of the search boxes on the left to look for articles with specific titles or just to search for text within articles. The index or the menu pages are a much better way of searching.

Please note particularly that although a small number of individual properties appear in this index, the best way to search for a profile is in the full Jersey houses index.

Notes and references

  1. ↑ The index was added to the site in 2017 but has not been regularly updated. As part of a major review of the site in 2022, more pages are currently being added to the index. It is likely to take some time before it is fully updated
